At a special ceremony on 27th September, Unipart marked 35 years of Mark In Action (MIA) – our recognition of Unipart colleagues who have delivered outstanding customer satisfaction.
The Mark in Action recognition programme was launched in 1988, and over 3600 colleagues have been recognised since the programme started – 247 in Unipart Rail and 30 of them multiple winners. Our Chairman, John Neill has presented every award since its inception.
The judging criteria is based on the principles of the Unipart Way and the Judges are looking for examples of colleagues who go the extra mile on behalf of a customer or colleague.
Winners receive a gold pin, Unipart Group shares and a framed certificate for their site.
At the ceremony, Unipart Rail’s Westcode team in North America was recognised for delivering exceptional service for the overhaul of HVAC units for a major customer, managing procurement of scarce spares, creating new accelerated processes to meet customer timescales, and training new team members in the technology.
Employee recognition is one of the ways we ensure our business delivers excellent service to our customers – it is only through having a skilled and engaged team that we can make sure that we are continually improving our service and responding to the needs of our customers to help them deliver a smooth-running rail network.
